The 49th Day

since Pa has left...

Just last November 10th, we were celebrating his birthday...

Little did I know it'll happen so soon after his birthday...
Glad we managed to give him a little birthday do (though nothing fancy) this year.. before Pa leave us forever on November 15th.

The wake services, the cremation...

Last Sunday... on Boxing Day... I went over to Nilai Memorial Park again, this time with my sis, bro and aunt to check on the carvings / engravings on the tomb stone. Am glad that everything was done nicely - no errors and it was installed without any hiccups. This is important to ensure that the prayers on the 49th Day since my dad's passing can be carried out and executed smoothly. Had a simple prayer session to end the day...

Date of birth - Followed Grandma's Record instead of what's stated on Pa's IC

Took some photos of the surroundings. It's a nice place. I think Pa will love it very much. He always has a thing for gardens, kois and koi ponds :) Glad we chose the right place... It will remind him / make him feel at home too - the garden at home, the kois and koi pond at home though the ones at our home of 25++ years pale in comparison to the one at the memorial park.

It has been difficult... coping with your leaving, I won't deny that.
But thanks to you and all that you've done while you were still alive, each day, we recover a little and get better. I promise you, we'll be okay.We'll be fine eventually. Keep your watch on us k, as you always do :)
